Privacy statement

We handle your data with care and collect no more than we need. Below you can read which data we use, why, and what rights you have.

L.Melcherts Productions, De Rijpgracht 51, 1056 XS Amsterdam, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 37111902, is responsible for processing your personal data. Questions about privacy can be sent to leo@leomelcherts.com.

  • Newsletter and free meditation. Your first name, last name and email address, to send you the meditation and the newsletter. Legal basis: your consent. We keep them until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time through the link in every email.
  • Bookings. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you fill in when booking. Legal basis: performing our agreement. We keep them for up to 2 years after your last session.
  • What you share about your wellbeing. Anything you tell us when booking or in the intake about your health or what is on your mind, Leo uses only to tune your session. This is sensitive data: we process it only with your explicit consent, share it with no one, and delete it at your request, and at the latest 2 years after your last session.
  • Payments and orders. Your name, email address, the amount and the payment method; for a gift voucher also the recipient's name and your personal message. Legal basis: performing our agreement and our legal retention duty. Financial records are kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
  • Contact. What you send us by email, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your question. We keep it for up to 2 years after our last contact.
  • Visiting the website. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the website secure and fast. Legal basis: legitimate interest. This data is kept briefly and is not used to track you.

Leomelcherts.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. The fonts are hosted on our own server.

Only when you click ‘Play preview’ does the SoundCloud player load; SoundCloud may then set its own cookies. When you go to the booking page (Cal.com) or the payment page (Stripe), the terms and cookies of those services apply.

We never sell your data. We only share it with services we need to do our work, with whom we have agreements on protecting it:

  • Brevo (France) for the newsletter and sending emails.
  • Cal.com (United States) for booking sessions.
  • Stripe (Ireland) for payments. Stripe is itself responsible for payment data and has its own privacy statement.
  • Cloudflare (United States) for hosting the website.
  • Our accountant, for the financial administration.

Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is done under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS). Payments run entirely through Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object, and take your data with you. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Send your request to leo@leomelcherts.com; we reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

We update this privacy statement when our work or the law changes. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
